Senior Exit Survey Results

At the end of each school year, Chadron High School contracts with LifeTrack Services, Inc. to conduct a confidential, non-biased senior exit survey. We just received the results for the graduating class of 2018. 43 seniors responded to the survey this year. I've included my notes in comparing these results to last year. 

Thank you to all of our seniors for providing this important information which helps provide focus for our efforts for continuous improvement of our school.

Last Day of School - Friday, May 18th

Friday, May 18th will be the last day of school for students. We'll dismiss students at 11:00am and host the annual free school/community picnic at 11:30am on the West side of the high school. Please join us.

Students will need to check-out of all of their classes, returning books & iPads and pay all lunch/library/iPad fees.

We encourage students to be prepared for payment of fees necessary to check out of school. 

Common fees include:

  • $19 iPad charging cord (missing/lost or exposed wires)
  • $19 iPad charging block (missing/lost)
  • $49 iPad fee (cracked screen)
  • $399 iPad replacement (missing/lost/broke iPad)
  • Library fees (lost books)
  • Lunch fees (negative lunch balance)
  • Fees for any missing uniforms or other equipment

Year-End Community Picnic Friday, May 18th


Help Us Celebrate The End Of An Outstanding Year!


Chadron Public Schools cordially invites community members, students and parents to attend the End Of The Year School Picnic on Friday May 18th at the practice field located West of the high school!

Hamburgers and hotdogs will be served starting after the 11:30am dismissal, and lasting until supplies run out.

Free Will donations will be accepted to cover food costs. Please bring your own chairs or grab a piece of the lawn. Please call 432-0700 if you have any questions.

Just One Event Left For Seniors

CHS Events:


Graduation will take place in the high school gym.  We do not reserve or block off
sections of seats for families of our graduates. Instead, families of the graduates are welcome to
enter the gymnasium when it opens at 11:00am and reserve up to 10 seats on the floor for the
graduation ceremony for your families.  There is additional seating provided in the bleachers.

Chadron High Moves Up To #3 Best High School In Nebraska by U.S. News & World Report

The 2018 list of Best High Schools by U.S. News & World Report was just released and Chadron High School moves up from to the #3 Best High School in Nebraska from last years' ranking at the #5 spot.

"Chadron High School is recognize in the National Rankings and earned a bronze medal. Schools are ranked based on their performance on state-required tests and how well they prepare students for college." according the the US News & World Report article posted today.

We congratulate the staff and students on all of the accomplishments of another successful year!

9:00am Start for HS on Wednesday, May 9th

Due to the senior check out process from 8:00-9:00, Chadron High School will begin classes at 9:00am for grades 9-11 on Wednesday, May 9th.
