Scheduling For Next School Year Begins!

Hello Wonderful CHS Students -

Please have your Chromebook CHARGED and ready to go for our initial discussion on class offerings for next school year!  We will meet in the auditorium on Monday - Wednesday of next week to discuss and choose initial class requests and alternates.  I will call grade levels by last name to the auditorium during your scheduled time slot.

IMPORTANT:  THIS IS NOT YOUR FINAL SCHEDULE just the beginning process to help us build the master schedule for next year.  Classes that are required for graduation will be chosen first with my guidance and students will select from classes next that they would enjoy to take/help meet needs for future plans and interests.

Monday March 22nd:   9:00 a.m. - Juniors last names A - M

                                    10:15 a.m. - Juniors last names N - Z

Monday March 22nd:   1:00 p.m. -  Sophomores A - M

                                     2:15 p.m. - Sophomores N - Z

Tuesday March 23rd:  9:00 a.m.  Freshman A - M

                                   10:15 a.m. Freshman N - Z

Wednesday March 24th:  8:00 a.m. - Juniors make-ups

                                         9:00 a.m. - Sophomore make-ups

                                        10:00 a.m. - Freshman make-ups

I want to reiterate this is NOT a final or even first draft of a schedule.  This is a selection process to help determine how many sections of each course offering is needed for next school year.  Once the master schedule is built a first draft will come out and meetings can be scheduled to alter and make changes to individual schedules based on student needs.

Some cool things to look at before Monday:

1.  Infinite Campus --- Academic Planning

Each student has access to their Academic Plan in Infinite Campus.  This is a GREAT tool to look through with your parents to see what classes you still need to meet specific graduation requirements.  It is as easy as this..... RED means still needed GREEN means good to go!!  This feature sometimes misses classes (PE9, speech, quarter offerings) and isn't always 100% accurate but a good place to start!

2. Course Offerings:

I have attached a list of course offerings from the 2020-21 school year, these paired with a few new possible offerings will be what is available to pre select next week.  Once we get numbers back we will decide what courses will be available for certain for the 21-22 school year and how many sections.  If you'd like to look on Infinite Campus please press the MORE button and COURSE REGISTRATION for a full list.  This is where we will select courses next week!  Feel free to look over with your parents!
