New District Movie Trailer

Many of you saw the video I created using iMovie a couple of weeks ago, I was recently asked to create a similar one for our district. So I spent a few moments in each of the schools walking in and out of classrooms ... what a privilege! I used the same movie trailer theme to create this quick movie for our district.     I hope you enjoy it!

CHS National Honor Society Elects Officers

National Honor Society is a membership based on a student’s outstanding performance in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Scholarship requires the student to have a cumulative grade point average of 3.65. Service is defined through the voluntary contributions made by the student to the school or community. Leadership includes those who are resourceful, good problem solvers, promoters of school activities, idea-contributors, dependable, and someone who exemplifies a positive attitude about life. A good character upholds principles of morality and ethics, is cooperative, demonstrates high standards of honesty and reliability, shows courtesy, concern and respect for others, and maintains a good and clean lifestyle.

Congratulations to the following new 2012-2013 National Honor Society Officers:

Yearbooks Offered Through the Mail and Online

                                                      (From Mrs. Paopao)

CHS is offering a great way to pre-purchase the 2013 yearbook directly through the mail or online.

In a partnership with Jostens, our yearbook printer, CHS is offering a program for purchasing yearbooks from home.  This simple method will eliminate the need for students to bring money to the school and allow parents the opportunity to discuss purchase decisions with students at home.  Yearbook purchases will be made through the mail, Internet (www.jostensyearbooks.com), or simply calling a toll-free hotline, 1-866-1516.  Additionally, a special feature of this program allows parents the option of an installment payment plan.  The price will begin at $55.

In the middle of October, students will receive complete details on the 2013 yearbook, available accessories and ordering instructions.  This is the only way to pre-purchase the yearbook this year, so make sure to watch your mailbox for details.

Of course, there will be some extra 2013 yearbooks available for sale at the start of the 2013-2014 school year.

For more information please contact Jill Paopao, yearbook adviser at jill.paopao@chadronschools.net or 432-0707.
