More than 12,000 FBLA members from across the nation and other countries, such as China, Haiti and Canada, as well as the U.S. territories, attended the event at the Anaheim Convention Center in California to enhance their business skills, expand their networks and participate in more than 70 business and business-related competitive events
While in the heart of Orange County, Chadron members participated in competitive events and state meetings, attended general sessions and received recognition.
Competing in Banking and Financial Systems, Keegan Shuck and Corbin Johnson took a 100-question objective test and received a score in the top 15, advancing them to finals.
In finals, the team is given a case study relative to their event. They must solve a problem in 20 minutes and perform a 7-minute presentation to a panel of judges. Out of more than 100 competitors at the conference, the team finished second in the nation, earning $600.

Competing in Graphic Design, Aubree Noble, Brooklyn Stack and Hunter Hawk gave a 7-minute presentation of their interpretation of designing a family water park in semifinals. A panel of judges advanced the team into finals by choosing the team as one of the top two of their group. Finals consisted of fourteen teams out of over 100 teams and in the end the team finished fourth in the nation and earning $200.

Alyssa Noble competed in Electronic Career Portfolio, an event where she digitally created and presented a portfolio of all her career goals, professional experiences, education and a resume. Alyssa gave her presentation in semi-finals, advanced to finals and finished as a top 12 finalist out of over 100 competitors in this event.
Daniel Smith competed in Business Law and completed a 100-question objective test. Greta Welch, Kaci Waugh and Alison Gardener also competed in Hospitality Management.
The Chadron FBLA chapter also earned recognition and honors with a Gold Seal Chapter Award of Merit.
