HUMAN PERFORMANCE PROJECT IN NEBRASKA WILL TEAM UP WITH HUSKER SPORTS NIGHTLY PEP RALLY

(Western Nebraska) – On Monday, September 8, 2014 Panhandle Prevention Coalition brings John
Underwood, founder of American Athletic Institute and Life of an Athlete/Human Performance Project, to launch a two day training and community event on healthy lifestyles for our youth.

Underwood will meet with coaches from all over the panhandle on September 8, from 7:30-11:00 a.m. at the HATC building at Western Nebraska Community College for a clinic. Breakfast will be served. All coaches and sponsors are invited to learn how important their role is in shaping the lives of these young people to be successful in life. Success as a youth will lead to success as an adult.

Here is what a past participant had to say, “It’s always exciting to have John Underwood back in western Nebraska. Not only has he had a great impact on some of the youth at Bridgeport (Bulldogs Committed), he also played a vital role in my coaching philosophies. John’s dedication to healthy lifestyles has been an inspiration to me and his presentations are full of information to help create a mindset to achieve one’s full potential. I look forward to seeing and hearing John again”, Jerod Dean, Football coach at Bridgeport High School. Another opportunity for coaches in the Northern Panhandle will be at Chadron State College on September 9 from 7:30-11:00 a.m. The cost of the Chadron clinic is $5.00 per participant which includes breakfast as well.

This will be TEAMED up with a Super Clinic with panhandle youth at Mitchell High School beginning at 1:00 p.m. on September 8. This is a great opportunity for those students who want to succeed in high school activities and life to learn how to gain that edge and return home to implement this lifestyle program in their school and community. Diet, sleep, blood glucose levels, stress, performance focus, alcohol, marijuana, and prescription drug misuse are lifestyle issues that can be an advantage or hold a student from success.

The Super Clinic will be followed by a community barbecue, pep rally, and remote with Husker Sports Nightly at Mitchell High School. Matt Davison, a Husker alumni, will be there to meet with youth and the community. Everyone is invited to attend and pledge to be partner with our youth and healthy lifestyles.
