Homecoming Kick Off/Burning of the C (Monday, Sept. 21 @ 5:30p)
We are happy to announce that CHS will be holding the “Burning the C” event again! It will take place Monday, September 21st, at 5:30 p.m.. The C will be burned in the high school parking lot.
Homecoming Dress-Up Days
Make sure to put on your best costumes and show your school spirit!
Monday (9/21)- Extreme COVID! Dress up in a heightened COVID situation! Wear a hazmat suit or just wear a crazy mask!
Tuesday (9/22)- Teacher Tuesday/Dress for Success- Dress up as a teacher in the school or in professional attire.
Wednesday (9/23)- Superhero vs. Villain- Dress up as your favorite superhero or villain!
Thursday (9/24)- Color Block! Each grade is assigned a color! Wear as much of that color as you possibly can!
Seniors- Red
Juniors- Blue
Sophomores- Green
Freshmen- Yellow
Friday (9/25)- Spirit Day! Put on red, white, and black Cardinal gear and get excited for the football game and dance!
Pep Rally (Sept. 25)
Friday afternoon (during school), students will gather on the High School football field for fun games and competitions organized by the Student Council. Each fall sport will have a team competing in the competition. Wear your face mask!
Homecoming Varsity Football Game (Sept. 25)
The homecoming football game against Mitchell will begin at 7:00 pm. Make sure to come and support your team! During halftime, the homecoming court will be announced, and the king and queen will be crowned! The homecoming court is as follows:
Freshmen Attendants:
Haylee Wild, Josslyn Pourier, Broc Berry, and Trey Hendrickson.
Sophomores Attendants:
Michaiah Fuller, Blaine Tewahade, Seth Gaswick, and Henry Kennell.
Juniors Attendants:
Leila Tewahade, Macey Daniels, Drew Milburn, and Michael Sorenson
Homecoming King Candidates:
Sawyer Haag, Cobie Bila, and Jameson Margetts
Homecoming Queen Candidates:
Jalei Marcy, Kadence Wild, and Emily Beye
Final voting to crown King and Queen will take place Friday, September 25th.
Homecoming Dance (Sept. 25)
The homecoming dance will take place on September 25th from 9:00 pm to 12:00 am. This year's dance is a private gathering and not a school activity. Students must have pre-purchased tickets priced at $5, bought by Wednesday, September 23rd. Additionally, all attendants must fill out a waiver before they can attend also submitted by September 23rd. The dance will be held at the Dawes County Fairgrounds, and there will be a mask-required zone and a no-mask zone. Students must choose a section to dance in and remain there for the entire night.
