Dual-Credit Registration

 Juniors and Seniors - Welcome (almost) Back to School!

Time to Register for Dual Credit!
If you are NOT enrolled in an AP course, Intro to Teaching, or College Algebra for the upcoming school year you can disregard this email.  If you are enrolled in Medical Terminology through WNCC you will get a separate email and instructions.

It is that time of year to choose if you'd like to take your advanced math and AP US History course for dual credit through Chadron State College.  If you wish to receive AP US History, College Algebra, AP Stats, Intro to Teaching or AP Calculus for dual credit through Chadron State College, you must click the link below and make sure to fill out the enrollment form.

All online enrollment forms need to be submitted online Monday August 17th by 3 p.m. to ensure CSC time to finalize their enrollment.

The form takes less than 5 minutes and payment is not required at the time of registration.  Registration for college credit is not a requirement to take these courses.  Students may take the course for high school credit only or another option for students is to take the AP exam at the end of the semester (the first week in May).  The AP test is $98 and students can see here what scores they would need to transfer credits to their college of choice.

Speaking of payment: 

Families will pay for their dual credit course online through their student's MyCSC account when created, or in person at the Chadron State College business office. Chadron HS will not accept payment for these courses - the college credits are an agreement between your student and Chadron State College.  It usually takes 2-3 days for enrollment to process after the completed form is submitted; students should be able to log in and pay for their courses after they receive an enrollment confirmation email. 

I will be visiting with College Algebra and AP US History on the first few days of school to go over any questions and hand out parent permission forms.  If your student qualifies for free and reduced lunch they will qualify for free credits through a state scholarship that I will assist them in completing. Please make sure to fill these forms out and get them back to the office immediately so you don't miss out on unlimited free college credits!
