Loni Watson Awarded the 2019 High School Counselor of the Year!

We want to congratulate Chadron High School Counselor, Loni Watson on being awarded the 2019 High School Counselor of the Year! The award was announced November 7th at the Nebraska School Counselor Association's annual conference.
In addition to parent programs, senior scholarship and transitional trainings, individual student career exploration programs, student mental health informational awareness, her recent efforts to communicate school counseling topics were lauded. CHS Principal Jerry Mack noted, "...school communication has changed and Loni Watson adapted what was once a monthly newsletter mailed to parents into weekly messages and conversations available online. I challenge whether any School Counselor has accomplished so much in the field of communication for student mental health as well as parent and school information."
