The Chadron High School One Act team will present their production of “Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus,” on Friday November 11 at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The cost is $5 (no passes) with an all you can eat dessert bar to follow.
The play, based on the famous editorial of the same name, twists two heartwarming stories together. On Christmas Eve in New York City in 1897, Virginia O’Hanlon struggles with her belief in Santa Claus. Meanwhile, a young newspaper editor is faced with an unhappy holiday season and the potential loss of his job. Even though the two don’t know each other, the two stories are woven together, and they find the spirit of Christmas.
The cast will travel to Rushville on November 21st to put on their play at the historic Plains Theater in conjunction with Gordon-Rushville. The show time is set for 7 p.m. Finally on December 3 the team will travel to their district competition in Ogallala
